So pleased with the mess he has made too.

Mark's latest is to steal Johnnie's bread from him and eat it. Handy snack available all day!

Standing!

Mark has been pulling himself to standing at anything and everything for ages, but today we were outside and he pulled himself up on the washing basket and then let go! He managed to stay standing not holding anything for about 5 secs! Very exciting - but I don't want him walking just yet!

He is still sounding very husky in the throat, but his appetite is back in full swing, and he has been happily drinking his 11am bottle the last two days.

Too cute

New Threads

Check out my new jacket!

I bought this for Mark today, and I think he looks just adorable in it! Much warmer than anything else he has. Will come in handy on these cold days.

My first biscuit! And in the time it took mum to write on the internet, I finished the whole thing!

I can't take a picture of Mark much further away than this at the moment. As soon as he sees the camera he rushes over!

Me and my contact!

Hooray!

Guess what my little man did this morning?! He drank 70ml out of a regular bottle!!!! I was so excited. This is the first time he has ever sucked on a bottle. I did nothing different, but he decided this morning to try it. Only 70mls but it is a start. All up from here hopefully.

Mark's favourite new toy is a roll of contact I bought the other day. He loves to suck on the end of it! He is feeling much better today. He had a good night sleep and is all action again today which is great.

Cold!

Well all I can say is that it is very cold in Toowoomba now. Tops of about 13 at the moment. Our house is not a warm one, and as a result Mark now has a cold. He hardly slept last night his nose is all clogged - ended up sleeping in our bed. He is also not eating or drinking much at all during the day. Hope he gets better quickly.

I don't really have anything else to report at the moment. Mark has started to play with his hair - I still play with my hair. Stephen hopes it doesn't develop into a habit. I put application forms in yesterday at the daycare centre we have chosen. Hope he gets a place in time for my return to work. (Still need to wean him - any ideas??)

Visits

Last weekend we had a chance to catch up with my friend Terri who lives in Cairns. It was really nice to see her again as we don't get to catch up much. On Monday we went to a picnic near Brissy so dropped in on Astrid and Peter and Flynn on the way home. The two little ones got to play together and create mischief. In July there will be three little ones to play together!

Stephen has still had holidays this week which has been nice. The week has been a bit more relaxed than the last two. The temperature has dropped a lot in the last two days - very much winter now!
I went into work this week to pick up some boxes of mine as the whole office is moving to a new building in July and I don't want my stuff going missing. It was actually quite nice to go in and chat. Made me feel a bit better about going back to work in a few months time. Stephen and I have also had a chance to visit some daycare centres, and have found one really nice one - but has a waiting list. There is another that is also ok where he may go while waiting for a place at the other. So hopefully that is fairly sorted out.

Stephen will be back to work on Monday. Mark will have to get used to just having me around the house. I think he has really enjoyed having both of us around all the time.

Chasing Bo - my new favourite pastime

This is how we have been finding Mark the last two days when he wakes from his nap!

Mark LOVED the fountain at Oma and Opa's house

Holidays

Sorry I have not put a post on for a while, but we have been away for the last 10 days or so visiting the parents. We spent almost a week on the Sunshine Coast with Oma and Opa, then on to Brisbane to see Grandma and Grandad. We all had a good time. Mark was a bit cranky the first few days as he was teething. But I am pleased to report that he now has 2 teeth! (the bottom middle two). His crawling improved dramatically while we were away, and he is now also kneeling and pulling himself up to stand at furniture. Quite a handful. Came home and had to childproof a bit.

Back home now and Stephen still has this week and next week off. So we are doing lots of bits and pieces around the house and finishing off the landscaping.
