Baby Sitting

Stephen's parents came up on Sunday arvo. We only had a brief chance to show them the house renos and have a quick chat before we had 6 unexpected visitors! All happens at once doesn't it?! Stephen and I only just got out of the house on time to get to the movies while his parents baby sat. This is a rare indulgence for us. Was great to get out alone and went to see the new Harry Potter movie. Had a great time and got back to have dinner with them before they headed home.

End Week 8

The main thing that has been done in the last week is the outside has been covered in weather boards.

Our Ensuite

They wet sealed our ensuite last week all ready for the tiler. Starting to look like something - smells though! Think we should keep the bright green?

I managed to catch some photos of Thomas standing by himself yesterday. He is doing this a lot these days, but has only taken a step here or there. He is very tentative!

Our back lounge room

The big opening you can see in these photos will be the main opening in our back lounge room. We will be putting in a big timber sliding door or a bifold door. The wall you can see in the bottom photo is the back of our existing house. This wall will be taken out. This week the gutters have been put on and the roof over our ensuite. Our ensuite has also been enclosed and the door cut into our bedroom. More wall framing has gone up and the plumber has started work. They have also dug the holes for the posts around our back deck which will wrap around the side of the house coming out from this back lounge room.

Jenny's 60th

We stayed with Stephen's parents on Friday night. It was his mother's 60th birthday. went to the park the next day which was lovely. Jo announced that she is pregnant - due on the 15th Feb next year! Very exciting news.

We had to move out of our house for a week as our new roof was being put on so we visited my parents on the Sunshine Coast for a week. They have only just moved into a unit so had some men coming in and out to fix stuff etc. Just like at home! Had a chance to help ma do some rearranging etc. but a bit hard with 2 boys. It was so wonderful to have such lovely weather for a week. Toowoomba is so much colder! Stephen worked out of his Sunshine Coast office for the week which worked out well as it was only a 7 min walk from ma and pas new place. Had some brief visits to the shops, but the boys not really up to it. Mark got really sick towards the end of the week and is only today starting to eat again and look a bit more lively.
