Playgroup Christmas Party

We had fun this morning at our last playgroup for this year. The group has grown and we now have 6 regular mums who come which is great. Jenny came this morning and played guitar for us - Mark loved this (most kids went off and played after the first few songs but Mark stayed glued to the spot absolutely captivated). We are all going out for dinner on Friday night - just mums, no husbands or children allowed! Should be fun.

House Pics

Some people have asked for updated house pictures. Here are some of our finished rooms. The first is of the 'playroom' the boys love this room - and it doesn't usually look this clean! Note the stripey curtains - I made these myself (fully lined and everything) I was quite proud of myself. The second photo is of our back bathroom - it has a shower too but could not get it in the shot. The final phot is of our front guest room - so we have plenty of room for people to come and stay - hint hint!

Fun in the heat

It has started to warm up lately and is getting muggy with all the rain we have been having. We have had a few 'pools' again recently which the boys love. Last time we did this Mark was just being toilet trained and Thomas was just a few months old - how time flies.

When I Grow Up....

Mark has decided what he wants to be when he grows up, and he is VERY excited about it. He wants to be a pilot and fly big planes. He says he will take me for a ride if I sit very still (wouldn't want me wobbling the plane too much!). He says his cousin Ethan can sit next to him up front. I think he wishes he could be grown up by tomorrow.

Thomas on the other hand has discovered that he can walk backwards!

Rock Pools are fun

Both the boys loved looking in the rock pools. Found lots and lots of star fish which was exciting. Both boys got pretty wet and sandy by the end of the days we spent on the beach. Was good for Mark because he has always been a bit scared of the beach.

More Pics

Saw lots of koala's in the wild on the road the the Cape Otway Lighthouse - managed to sprain my ankle though looking up at them and falling in a pothole! Was not bad though, by the next day was almost better. Saw lots of cows and sheep too which the boys liked. Found some fantastic beaches. These pics on Johanna beach.

Simply Stunning!

We had such wonderful weather when we stayed at Apollo Bay. By the end of the week we were in shorts and shirt. Bay of Islands was most stunnning for me.

Drue & Sarah's Wedding

This is the reason we actually went to Melbourne at this time. Drue went to Uni with Stephen. Was a great wedding, we had fun catching up with people we had not seen for ages.

A big day out in the city

We decided that Melbourne is a bit addicted to coffee shops. Can't walk more than 50m without seeing one - they are even about to build on in the middle of the pedestrian bridge over the river, because of course you can't walk over a whole bridge without having a coffee! Found a truly awesome cake shop theough called Brunetti's could have stayed there all day!

At the park

We just spent a week in Melbourne and a week on the Great Ocean Road. Stayed with my sister and her family the first week. Her son Declan is only 3 weeks younger than Mark. The boys had so much fun playing together. Kirsten had fun with Thomas. Was great that they could spend some time together and get to know each other a bit.

Baby Sitting

I baby sat Simon and Amos for the first time together on Tuesday. It was like having two sets of twins! Bit crazy but we all survived. It was harder cause I could not let the big boys out to play, because we had no front or back fence, and the builders and painter were here.
