Mark's first day at school

It is Mark's first day of Prep today. He is attending Toowoomba East State School. He looked so cute in his uniform this morning and was so excited to head off. His teacher is Mrs Brassington and she seemed very nice. Lots of other little boys in his class that looked good fun to play with. I hope he makes friends quickly.

Heidi at 9 months

Heidi is now 9 months old. She is crawling well, and is able to pull herself up to stand. She does not get down well yet and stands there and whinges till you help her down. She is pointing at things now and loves to finger feed herself. She waggles her head at you these days if you shake your head at her, and she can now click her tongue. She weighs 8.8kg. She is alovely little girl and is certainly starting to grow up...

On Sunday my parents came to visit. We had a quiet time at home with them, but it was nice just to sit and chat.

While I had a quiet day for my actual birthday on Monday, on the weekend we had visitors. Stephen's parents stayed with us on Friday night and then shouted us to lunch at the winery in Toowoomba. It was a lovely relaxing afternoon (with some lovely wine!), and the kids were all well behaved and happy which helps :-)

Stairs!!

Heidi is getting around quite well these days. She is trying to pull to stand and I don't think it will be too long before she tries to climb up the stairs to the boys room. She fell down the stairs to the garage on the weekend! She is alright, bit of a bruise on her head. We quickly went out and bought a playpen and barrier which we have now put in front of the stairs as you can see in the pic!

Collies

Iain and Sian and little Neve came to visit on Saturday. Heidi had fun playing with another little girl. Was a lovely relaxing day sitting around eating and chatting. Iain had his ear talked off by Mark, and Iain had to think fast with all the why and what does that mean questions he was getting!
