Mark's First Birthday!

Yesterday was Mark's first birthday, and he had a great day! He woke up and came into mum and dad's bed as perusual in the morning and had his morning bottle. We then got a present for him which he was not expecting. He was so excited, he just kept looking at us and saying 'Oooo'. When he opened it and found a piano/xylophone he was even more excited and started bashing onit very loudly! We also gave him a smiley faced balloon which he loved. We did not give him any other pressies as he was already hyper. He played nicely while we got ready for the party. He then slept for 2 hours and woke up about 5 mins before everyone arrived, which was perfect timing!

He had a great time at the party and did not get cranky at all, even though there were so many people. He was very tired in the end though and so over excited. We had some trouble getting him to sleep at 3.30 when everyone had gone.

There were 4 one year olds at the party and a 5 month old and some bigger kids, so there was lots of fun to be had. He got soooo many clothes it will be hard deciding what he should wear each day from now on.

And on another good note - it has been raining the last few days which is fantastic for us as it has been so dry. It didn't rain the few hours the party was on which was good too!

All in all a great day, but it went by so fast...

What will the next year hold? Stephen and I ended the day by watching our videos of Mark when he was born - he was so little, he really has grown so much in his first year.
