Cold

I came down with a cold on Saturday and have been feeling very miserable. Stephen stayed home from work yesterday to look after me and the boys which was a big help. It is so nice having a husband who's job lets him do that sort of thing. Am starting to feel a bit better now though still have a blocked nose and a nasty cough. Luckily none of the boys seem to be sick - YAY.

Over the last week Thomas had dropped a night feed so he was down to one feed per night which was much nicer. Last night though he was restless and we got very little sleep from 1.30 am on. Hopefully tonight goes better again. He is really getting bigger giving lots more smiles and demanding attention from us. He loves Mark. Mark still refuses to call Thomas by his name though just yesterday Mark starting calling Thomas the tank engine Thomas - which is a small breakthrough as he had refused this up until now as well - only calling him blue train or baby train. Our Psych friend says we may need to write a case study on Mark's denial of Thomas!

Ruth says: I would not worry too much about this issue of Mark not calling Thomas by his name. When Thomas gets a bit bigger and it gets easier for Thomas to interact with Mark I am sure that the bond will develop between the brothers and he will call him by his name then. I would not try and get Mark to say his name - he will do it when he is ready. Christine was just telling us this week how she really loved yet also hated Matthew when he arrived. I thought that was a very honest feeling she expressed there. Mark might be a bit the same. Christine pretty much ignored Matthew until he got a bit older and it sort of seemed like she realised he was there to stay and he loved her so much and gave her the best smiles and laughter that she could not help but love him in the end.
