Rite of Passage

On Monday night Thomas entered the land of 2 year olds!! He was very naughty in the bath, splashing Mark and not listening to us at all. Stephen left for tennis saying to me on the way out the door - Thomas still needs to say sorry to Mark. Well and hour and a half later when Stephen came home Thomas was still locked in his room crying - he had had his dummy and blanky confiscated and had missed dinner and was still firmly refusing to say sorry - instead saying - No don't want to! Brought him out to have some dinner then put him straight to bed - still in trouble! The next day he asked for a Milo all morning. At lunch I made one for him and Mark. Mark said please so I handed his over. Thomas refused to say please. So I ate and drank his Milo in front of him while he lay on the floor crying all the while saying - Don't want it, and Don't like chocolate!!! What a little monster! I have decided he has a lot more staying power than Mark ever did, he does not seem to give in. What a wonderful new phase. Makes me smile and makes me frustrated. Most of the time he is a lovely little boy.

Hehe .... little monkey! Good to see that you have more staying power than he does. Go Mum!!

I can fully see Jambin being just as stubborn - he thinks he's starting the terrible two phase early. I have other plans!
