Camping - Murphy's Creek Escape

We went camping with the kids for the first time one the weekend. We borrowed a tent, and a fridge and shared cooking facilities of friends who were more set up than us. It was a nice weekend away with - Elson, Baltzer and Bausch families. Unfortunately it rained/drizzled most of the time we were there. Heidi's bedding was wet by the end. The boys had a wonderful time going off to explore on the rocks with the other boys. We hardly saw them. All the boys got stung by wasps - there must have been lots around the rocks. Poor Thomas was stung on multiple occasions. I did not sleep both nights. Heidi was up all through the night on the second night. The boys slept well. While we will not rush to go again/buy our own stuff. It was fun to give it all a try. Nice to be away with other families with kids. The camp site at Murphy's Creek was nice and well set up. As the floods had gone through there last year, there were lots of new exposed rocks to explore and a new "inland beach" as they called it. Lots of frogs around.... Lots to wash when we got home, lots of damp wet clothes and towels. I was so tired I went to bed at 8.30pm last night and woke at 6.40am! A record for me in years!!
